Great things happen when passions align.

Scott Love is an avid fly fisherman. Taught to fish by his grandfather and father on the Green River in Utah’s beautiful Uinta Mountain Range, he regularly escapes back to the waters of his youth, or to Oregon’s Owyhee River at every opportunity.

He has also been cooking since childhood, and has made a habit of seeking out five-star restaurants on his frequent business trips. What started as a hobby became an obsession. Scott used his intuitive palate and innate culinary talent to recreate gourmet dishes at home. To the delight of his family and friends he soon began creating his own dishes––many of which are featured in his cookbook, "Kitchen Confessional."

While his fishing trips recharged his spirit, the granola bars that he kept with his gear left him unsatisfied. He tried dozens of products on the market and found them to be either tasteless, un-filling or thinly veiled candy bars. Finally he turned to his own kitchen.

His first batches of bars were intended for personal consumption, but his wife kept offering them to guests – who kept asking for more. Neighbors heard about the bars and wanted to purchase some, and word continued to spread.

Scott’s Loaded Granola Bars were born.

Scott’s superbly crafted gourmet recipes provided the inspiration for the product line. He looked to his popular lime sorbet in developing the flavor profile for the Blackberry Lime bars, and the Strawberries & Cracked Black Pepper bars echo some of his other savory and sweet creations.
